Choosing the right ESC

As with radio's, motors and batteries there a wide varieity of Electronic Speed Controls available for your RC Car or Truck.

Most Ready to Run kits will come with a very basic model which may or may not offer reverse.

Aftermarket ESC's can have features like drag brake, anti-drag, or traction control. Many have the option to enable or disable reverse as well.

If you are racing, reverse is likely not allowed in your club, so make sure you choose an ESC which either does not have it, or allows you to turn it off.

For bashing there are some very economical yet durable choices which can be setup with a minimum of fuss.
