Pistol Grip or Stick?

90% of Ready to Run (RTR) boat kits come with a pistol grip radio - the same radio's used for onroad and offroad cars and trucks.

As with the cars and trucks, you can choose from AM, FM, FM synthesized or DSM.

Most boats require only 2 or 3 channels, 1 for throttle, 1 for steering and maybe a third for controlling K-Flaps.

Some more advanced boats require many more channels to run lights, sail trim, gun turrets and other features found in advanced radio controlled boat models.
